I'm surprised at how little I've seen people complain about this clearly sub-par feature on what I generally agree to be the world's best phone.

Re: Substandard iPhone photo management

Nope, I agree. I've been looking for a way of doing my grouping/renaming offline on the phone, so I can archive them out when I connect. Nothing seems to be able to handle it, though! PixelPipe does allow convoluted batching for upload to folders via FTP, but you can't rename files, and have to manually create the FTP folder each time.

Re: LEED V3 – becoming an AP just got more difficut

Yes, I would agree that the test is not as easy as most people might think. It's not so much about being able to recall facts from the book as it is about knowing the field inside out and having first-hand experience, which is why I like the new requirements (even though they work against me). I'm intrigued to learn about the projects your company has worked on though. I'll have to check it out!

Re: LEED V3 – becoming an AP just got more difficut

I have heard many similar complaints at my office from the people who had not passed the test yet. We've been pursuing LEED business for several years now and have eight people on staff that are LEED APs. However, passing the test isn't as easy as you might think. Many of these intelligents people failed once or twice before passing the test. Others failed and have not taken the time to retest so they now fall under the new requirements. We earned LEED Gold status on our first green project (Woodlands Corporate Center in Tampa); are just finishing our second which should get Silver or Gold (Jordan School Renovation in St. Pete) and are underway with our biggest project to date which is also a storm-hardened faculty up to CAT 5 (Pinellas County Public Works Emergency Responders Bldg in Clearwater). We are very focused on Green projects and I've written several articles about these projects at our website. Check it out, you might find it interesting . Www.hcsfl.com.

Re: LEED V3 – becoming an AP just got more difficut

The Green Associate exam is a 2 hour exam that is basically what the old v2.2 was. There is no shame taking this exam. In fact, you can take the GA exam, and then later take the additional LEED AP specialty exam (additional 2 hours) when you have the project experience.

Realistically, if you had taken the v2.2 exam you would have been known as a LEED AP without a specialty until you provided that project experience information anyway. So, you aren't in a bad place. You just need to leverage it in your favor.

Re: LEED V3 – becoming an AP just got more difficut

Absolutely. It's a much simpler test, more geared towards giving people a general background to green building, whereas the AP exam is more geared towards knowing the reference manual inside out to allow you to work through a LEED registered project. For that, I'm thankful for the new distinction.

Re: LEED V3 – becoming an AP just got more difficut

The Green Assoicate material seems to be a lot less study of minute facts and
more about basic green concepts. There is a lot of good study material available.

Re: Unexpected additional feature of Trapster iPhone app – Recording trips

Thanks for the Trapster kudos! Someone else had mentioned Gates to me, but not Arthur Bryant's. I'll have to be sure to see where to best spend the little time I have. I have to say though, I'm not much of a baseball fan, and am sure that our evenings will be kept busy in the bars! Thanks for the advice!

Re: What to do in Kansas City?

Have the barbecue. Try Arthur Bryant's. It's good and quite the experience. Also have Gates. It's great too. And may I suggest a Royals game while you are in town. The team is on its way up and the tickets, at least a few years ago, were very reasonable.
